Ken is a born and breed Cantabrian and proud of it. However he first started within the civil industry with the Hire Company out of Petone in Wellington. After a period in Europe and aviating aircraft Ken then travelled back to New Zealand where an opportunity came to grow the Atlas Group's civil division. CNC - Belfast Enabling Works
This project consists of three main sections where the utility will be exposed entirely using hydro excavation techniques and then replaced in a new trench. The new excavations will help to reinforce the network for future use and to allow way for the new Northern Arterial Motorway to come through. This will also make future maintenance of the line easier in case of such requirement. The job is technically risky as HV power is exposed hence the requirement for careful excavation using hydro excavation techniques solely in much of the area. This has resulted in a hydro requirement for 2 vehicles for several weeks. The job is being managed by one of our experienced power foreman trained and familiar with the Orion power network.
